While the authorities swing into action to uncover who this merciless assailant is, they are unprepared for the expected turns that the case takes as each inch toward solving the case leads to an even more bizarre discovery. This is a story that in part tells of the high level of corruption that exists among some law enforcement officers who will do anything just to appear correct. After Heather left for her late night shift no one knew that it was going to be the last time that she will be seen alive. As the hours grew and she was officially declared missing, all forms of fear grew in the hearts of those that loved her. Her mother was particularly scared as Heather had combated depression not so long ago and attempted to end her life on one occasion. The detective assigned to the case - O'Connell vowed to uncover the mystery behind the subject. Eventually, the remains of Heather are found in the parking lot of the Somerton Apartment in Clyde inside her abandoned car trunk. When the body was retrieved, it was obvious that she had been bound, beaten and then shot twice in the back; all the while, she battled her assailant to the very end. Some of her personal effects were also missing; including her Phone, wallet containing cards, and other essentials. A quick review of Heather's history soon revealed that she was in a romantic relationship with her co-worker - Carmella. However, the two of them were always fighting and it wasn't long that whatever they had between them suffered a crack. Heather had always accused Carmella of infidelity. As the two women ended things between themselves just three days before she met her sad end, they exchanged caustic messages with each other. The text records were found by the authorities and this quickly made her one of the persons of interest in the case. Another person who fit the temporal profile of interest was Josh; Heather's brother. Apart from her night job at Whirlpool. Heather was also studying to become a nurse. Unfortunately, she had failed one of the exams and Josh showed her no mercy with his unkind words. He called her mean names and said she didn't look any different from their parents. However, after some preliminary findings, O'Connell knew that Carmella and Josh were not the suspects he was out to get. He would soon discover that Heather was a regular visitor to the Somerton apartment. Here she was believed to meet with one of the occupants of the rooms here. Her name was Keyona Bor and together, the two seemed to spend their time smoking illegal substances.
